Ms Burk serves Western and Northern Michigan via telehealth counseling services provided at the above web address. She offers Individual therapy. Ms Burk primarily uses Person Centered, Christian Counseling and Trauma focused approaches with clients. 

Ms Burk received a degree in professional counseling from Central Michigan University in December of 1998. Since receiving her degree and subsequent licensure, Ms Burk has worked in the state of Michigan as well as Kentucky and Arizona working with clients as a clinician in outpatient, inpatient, and residential settings. She also obtained her School Counselor License and worked in various public schools for a period of 24 years from which she has retired.

My hourly rate is $130. Insurances accepted include the following:

Blue Cross Blue Shield of MI, Priority Health, Cigna, Aetna, Carelon Behavioral Health, Anthem (EAP), Independence Blue Cross Pennsylvania, Quest Behavioral Health, Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Jersey (In the credentialing process with others)

In addition to her private practices, Ms Burk serves Montcalm County clients at Community Hope Christian Counseling Center one day per week and all clients must be booked through their offices at: (616)225-8220. Located at: 6729 Vining Rd, Greenville, MI 48838. Also found at: Community Hope House determines the rates there and accepts many insurances. This information can be obtained by calling the agency during normal business hours.

Confidentiality is important. All communication between a client and their counselor is privileged, however, there are exceptions to the communication, i.e. when there is a threat of harm to oneself, harm to others, knowledge of abuse or neglect, or from a lawful court order.
